Working with XiMation
What does XiMation do?
XiMation is a management consulting and services firm based in Huntsville, Alabama. We help small and mid-size businesses with management consulting, operations, technology, and marketing, and we provide the content writing, web design, and visual media that support that work.
Who will I actually work with?
John Williams, who founded XiMation in 2010. You work directly with John from the first conversation to the finished result. When a project needs a specialist, such as a photographer, videographer, writer, or technical expert, John brings in a trusted partner and manages the work, so you still have one point of contact.
How is XiMation different from a large consulting firm?
You get an experienced consultant, not a rotating team of junior staff, and recommendations sized for a small or mid-size business. We listen first, keep things practical, and stay to help carry out the plan if you want us to.
Do you only work with Huntsville businesses?
No. We're based in Huntsville, Alabama, and work remotely with clients across the United States. Most work happens by phone, video call, and shared documents, and John travels when a project calls for it.
What kinds of businesses do you work with?
Small and mid-size businesses that want experienced outside help without the cost and overhead of a large firm. Past clients include medical, professional, legal, and therapeutic practices, athletic trainers, artisans, dental offices, and many more.

What happens in the free 1-hour consultation?
We talk through your goals, what's getting in the way, and what you've already tried. You'll leave with an honest first read and some practical next steps, whether or not you hire us. There's no cost and no obligation.
How do I book the consultation?
Pick a time on our online booking calendar. Consultations are available Monday through Friday, 12 to 6 PM Central. You can also call 256-213-1682 or email johnwilliams@ximation.com.
Can we meet by phone, video, or in person?
Your choice. When you book, you can choose a phone call, a video call, or an in-person meeting in the Huntsville area.
Services
Can you help with just one thing, like a website or a process?
Yes. Many clients start with a single project. If we see that other areas are connected to the problem, we'll tell you, but you decide what we work on.
Do you provide IT support?
Yes, on a project basis. Our technology work is mostly consulting, and we also take on hands-on projects such as software and data migrations and other defined IT work. It's project-based help, not a 24/7 or ongoing managed IT service.
Do you manage Google and Meta ad campaigns?
Yes. As part of our marketing services, we set up and manage campaigns on Google Ads and Facebook/Meta, including targeting, budget management, ongoing optimization, and reporting.
What platforms do you build websites on?
We recommend WordPress in most cases, but we can work with any popular platform, including Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, etc. See web design.
Pricing & Projects
How much does it cost?
It depends on the scope of the work, so we don't publish prices. After the free consultation, you'll get a clear quote with the scope, timeline, and cost before any paid work begins, so there are no surprises.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the scope. Some work is a focused project with a clear start and finish; advisory and implementation support can continue as long as it's useful to you. We'll give you a clear timeline before work starts.
Do you just make recommendations, or do you help put them in place?
Both. Some clients want a clear plan to carry out themselves; others want hands-on help through rollout and training. We'll agree on that up front.
What kinds of engagements do you offer?
